I guess I am probably just a bit behind posting these pictures since we got married about 6 months ago, but in my defense I think I am still recovering form all the work and planning that went into the wedding. We had a small wedding at our house that we had recently just moved into. The ceremony took place in the front yard and then we moved to the back for the reception.

I would like to say that no one warned me about how much work it would be to have it at home, but that would be totally untrue. EVERYONE warned me, and I decided it was what we really wanted anyway. Our time in the months before the wedding was spent knocking down the walls in the kitchen, laying a stone patio in the front yard, canning and picking fruit for over 100 jars of jam and sewing napkins for the tables.

Luckily we had friends and family that helped in every way they could. One of my best friends and her mother did all our flowers, my sister in law made our cake, my mom spent days sewing, gardening, and canning with me, my father donated almost his entire crop of home grown fruit, my brother's boyfriend took the pictures, and my friends hung decorations, searched flea markets for old jars and pictures, and found the perfect dress for me. In the end I couldn't really have imagined anything more perfect.

Just found your blog--It was wonderful, quite a capture of the beautiful moments, and the emotions of the day. How proud all your grandparents would have been if they could have come, but somewhere up there, they were looking down with big grins. It was truly a work of love.
